Mahanavami dibba or Dasara dibba is a beautiful stone platform located within the Royal Enclosure of Hampi. The largest monument in this complex consists of a massive square granite faced base in three diminishing tiers.
Hampi Step well/Pushkarani
The key attraction of the tank is the most intricate and highly symmetric layout of the steps made in gray stone. It is a five tiered tank where each tier comprises of five steps in a criss-cross pattern.
Royal palace Hampi
The architecture and beauty of the palace can only be imagined today as it was destroyed due to the destruction caused in Hampi during the ancient times. Today, there’s an ornate base of the palace present which provides an idea about the architecture of the lost structure.
Hazara Rama temple
The Hazara Ramachandra temple was the ceremonial temple for the royal family. The temple was built by Devaraya I during the early 15th century. Hazara Rama temple is the only temple which is situated inside the royal enclosure of Hampi.
Paan Supari Bazaar
Paan-Supari Bazaar is opposite Hazara Rama temple. The name of the bazaar is derived from the name of the street Kramuka-Parnapana Veedhi.
Zenana Enclosure
Zenana Enclosure is a secluded and fortified area specially reserved for the royal ladies of the Vijayanagara empire. It is located near the royal enclosure. No men except the king were allowed to enter inside the enclosure.
Lotus Mahal
The Lotus Mahal or Kamala Mahal is built in the Indo-Islamic style of architecture. The building has lotus-like appearance. The balcony and the passages of the Lotus Mahal are covered with a dome that looks like an opened lotus bud. The central dome is also carved as a lotus bud.
Elephant Stable
Gajashala or Elephant Stable is a long structure with a rectangular shape that has a row of 11 huge domed chambers which are interconnected with large arched openings. It was used to provide shelter for the royal elephants of the Vijayanagara empire.
Ganagitti temple complex
Ganagitti Temple is one of the earliest structures constructed in Hampi during the Vijayanagara Empire. The Ganagitti temple is also known by many other names such as Kunthunatha Jain Temple and The Oil-Woman Temple.
Anegundi Nava Brindavana
Anegundi is a fascinating mixture of geology, history, mythology, and heritage. Anegundi was the first capital of Vijayanagara empire.
