Lakshmi Narasimha is the largest statue in Hampi, measuring at 22 feet high, carved out of single stone.
You can see Lakshmi Narasimha is sitting on the coil of a giant seven headed Adisesha (snake). The heads of Adisesha act as the hood above his head. The god sits in a cross-legged yoga posture with a belt supporting the knees.
Lakshmi Narasimha has four hands, but all are broken. The idol has huge protruding eyes, but the Lord is not in His ugra form.
The statue of Goddess Lakshmi, seated on His lap, is in ruins can now be seen in the Kamalapura Museum. But the goddess’s hand is visible resting on his back in an embracing posture.
