Have you seen stone-carved pillars glow in golden hue? You’ll see this Veerabhadra temple, Lepakshi, Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh.
As you enter inside the Veerabhadra temple, the intricately carved pillars with dancers, musicians with various musical instruments in the ranga mantapa (the main hall) welcomes you. This ancient temple has inscriptions on every pillar.
When the sun goes down, it paints the ranga mantapa with golden hue. The warm glow from the setting sun creates a magic in the main hall: each and every pillar glows in all its ‘golden’ glory!
To witness this golden magic, be at the Veerabhadra temple by evening, before the sun set. As the sun fades into the horizon, you can see the hall bathe in the golden light.
